Hey guys!
I know I am super late for the December Ipsy Bag, but I received it while I was away :(
If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a beauty subscription bag created by Michelle Phan where you receive 5 products each month for $10/month. December's theme was Thinking of You.
The first product I received is the Coolway Boost Repair Treatment. This is a hair mask that is meant to do two things: restore damaged and processed hair, and strengthen the hair to avoid future breakage. It is "color safe", "effective for all hair types", and a "non-toxic has no Formaldehyde, Lye or Sulfayes, and is free of Parabens, Phthalates and Sodium Chloride." What a mouthful! This was a sample size at 1.3 oz and is worth approximately $4.00. The full size product is 8 oz and $29.95 and can be purchased here. I am excited to try this product out as the tips of my hair have been getting dry lately since I am often in a pool and the chlorine damages my hair.
The next product I have received is a Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush. This brush has one side that is bigger and fluffier than the other and that can be used for fading. This side of the brush isn't very precise and can't be used to apply the eye-shadow onto the lid as it is too big. The other side of the brush is smaller and formed in a point. It can be used to apply eye-shadow to the crease and the outer-V of the eyelid. I have tried this brush and find myself using it A LOT! The bristles of the brush are smooth to the skin but thick enough to give the accuracy needed. The brush is not loosing it's bristles which is always a good sign! This is full size product worth $17.50 and can be purchased here
The third product I got is the NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm in the color Ladyfingers BLBO2. This lip balm is really a tinted moisturizer and the color is gorgeous! It gives a subtle hint of color and although the color looks bright in the tube, it is not as visible on the lips. This lip balm is a full size product worth $4.00 and can be purchased here.
The fourth product in the bag was the Pixi by Petra Fairy Dust in the color Brightening Bare which is a golden color. In comparison to the Be a Bombshell eye-shadow received last month, this one is a loose powder consistency instead of a cream, and is not as pigmented. The product description says, "Illuminating powder pigments give concentrated glow & enhancing colour instantly!" I believe this is a great eye-shadow for a more toned-down look, but it does not give a concentrated glow. This is a full size product and it is worth $10.00. It can be purchased here.
The final product in this bag was the tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara. This mascara is suppose to lengthen, curl, volumize, and condition your lashes and also happens to be vegan friendly. This is by far my favorite mascara! It does everything it says it is suppose to do. The wand is bigger, and is easy to apply, without making a mess, like most bigger wands do! This was a sample product worth $8.34 for 0.10 oz. The full size product is valued at $20.00 for 0.24 oz. This product can be purchased here.
